Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Eved (“the Service”), operated by Exhort Technologies, LLC (“we,” “us”) and provided for the United Church of God, an International Association (“UCG”), its ministry, and invited members. By signing in or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. Accounts and access

Accounts are provisioned by administrators or by invitation. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity under your account. We may suspend or disable accounts that violate these Terms or at the direction of UCG administrators.

2. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for ministry, study, and preparation purposes; not to attempt to gain unauthorized access to data or accounts; not to upload unlawful content or content you do not have the right to share; and not to resell or redistribute the Service or its content outside your ministry context.

3. Content and ownership

Sermon recordings, transcripts, and knowledge-base materials remain the property of UCG and their respective authors. Drafts and notes you create remain yours. You grant us the limited rights needed to store, process, and display this content in order to operate the Service (including generating transcripts, analytics, and AI responses). The Service's software, design, and branding are the property of Exhort Technologies, LLC.

4. AI-generated content

The Service's AI features are designed to answer only from approved church content and to decline when that content does not cover a question. AI output can nevertheless contain errors or omissions. It is an aid to preparation — not a substitute for your own study, judgment, or the doctrinal review processes of your ministry. You are responsible for reviewing anything you present or publish.

5. Availability and changes

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may interrupt the Service for maintenance. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Exhort Technologies, LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid (if any) for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We or UCG administrators may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms. Sections 3, 4, and 6 survive termination.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time; material changes will be reflected by a new effective date on this page. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
